Can you cook a hamburger and freeze it for later on?!

Question: my husband is a trucker, he has a refrigerator in the truck and wanders if I could cook some hamburger patties ahead of time and freeze them. then when he wants a hamburger, take it out of the fridge, put it in the microwave to heat it up. we are trying to find ways to save money on the road by taking leftovers.

You sure can...I do it all the time. I always grill extra hamburgers so that I can freeze some for later. Make sure you use good quality freezer bags or double-wrap in plastic wrap, then foil or freezer paper. Hamburgers can be frozen about 3 months (for optimal flavor). Make sure the burgers are thoroughly cooked to 160* before freezing and upon reheating.

I do that sort of thing all the time.

if you cover it in ejaculation it lasts up to 2 1/2 weeks longer.

You sure can ;)

Sure you can

I do it all the time, also chicken

Sure, you can. We freeze leftovers all the time. So it doesn’t dry out in the microwave- cook partially covered or place a small bowl with water in the microwave while the burger is cooking.

oh of course you can...its last quiet a while too... I would say it will last for up to a month maybe 2

That works fine. You will have better luck if you heat the burger at about power level 4 or 5 for a longer time because you want to heat it but not cook it. Using full power the outside will start to sizzle while the inside is still cold.

Yep that will work

Yes you can. To be sure it doesn't get frost bitten pre-wrap it in saran wrap and then inclose it in a freezer ziplock bag. Fill the bag with several. When hitting place on a plate and sprinkle the burger with maybe a tablespoon of water to ensure the hamburger will be juicy. Also cover it with a paper plate when cooking. This will keept he moisture in. Cook for maybe 45 seconds.

Sure you can cook about everything and freeze it for later. Working women do it all the time. :)

Certainly! Be sure to grill them outside, if you can, for even more flavor!

You sure can, I do it all the time because we get our beef a half at a time with 10 burgers to a package. I cook them all up at once ........they come in handy and don't take long to thaw out either.
