Do I need to take the plastic off?!

Question: I want to make a turkey (in the oven) .
It has this very hard plastic holding the legs, do I need to take it off? and ..If I do..., how do I do it?

yes remove it by pulling on it real hard.

Yes, you do. Use a knife or poultry shears. If you don't have either, use a scissors.

I always do.

I pull it (or have hubby do it) and if that doesn't work, then cut it

i'm guessing so since the plastic will melt if you keep it on there

don't be afraid to cut into the turkey
use a scissors and cut the plastic off the turkey

yes take the plastic off. can you cut it off, with scissors or a knife.

you not only need to take off the plastic..but dont forget the insides....also rinse off your turkey under running water..

I don't think so.

not if you like the plastic flavor......

Reminds me of my wife's ex brother-in-law. . .after the party he told us he liked shrimp, first time he'd eaten them. . .except they were sure crunchy.

I use a pair of wire cutters...or some pliers.
