How Should a Good Donut should taste ? or which do you prefer?!

Question: Hi, I have recently opened a donut shop, I have trouble deciding how good donut should taste. Sometimes it comes out very soft and chewy , other times it comes out more dry but not chewy. For donut lovers out there, how would you decribe or prefer a perfect tasting donut. Help me out :)

Well obviously if you are making a yeast donut, it should be light and chewy and a bit crispy on the outside. Cake donuts should be heavier and dense but not dry.

i like them glazed!
and i love chocolate covered ones!

plain ones

Warm, soft, and gently glazed. The lighter the better. If it's too heavy, customers won't eat as many.

soft & chewy, that's the way me and my husband like them.

soft, warm with a nice chewy texture. Light yet denser is better for the cake type donuts.

make a raspberry filled (no seeds) & a cream filling I'd eat there everyday!

Nice and sugary and not too chewy. I hate the ones that leave the roof of your mouth dry. Having jam or apple inside is an added bonus. AND hot ones -!!! well... don't even go there - DEEEELICIOUS.

Krispy Kreme ..... enough said!

I prefer a sour cream cake or apple cider donut, not a yeast donut..I like them best shaken in powdered sugar..
