I want to make my parents anniversary special by making a dinner for them, but i cant cook much... any ideas?!

Question: You can cook better then you think you just haven't done much, cooking is easy you can read I take it? Then you can cook.

You can make an all in one dinner dish. Go get chicken beef or pork and some vegetables (potatoes, carrots green peppers, Green beans) and buy a few oven bags (same comes with their own seasoning) toss everything in to the bag or bags and bake.

You can make your own mashed potato’s if you like or throw them in the bag as will, make a side salad, you have the cake.

Those cooking bags are great you just throw everything in to a bag and the hard part is over. You parents will be so grateful of you for being thoughtful of them.

Good luck and happy cooking

Spaghetti and toasted bread is good stuff, and it is really easy to make.

Boil half a package of spaghetti noodles until they are cooked. You can tell when they are done by trying a noodle while they are cooking. if it is still crunchy in the middle it needs to cook longer. Then drain the noodles and add spaghetti sauce from a jar, heat the noodles and sauce, then serve.

for the bread, you can buy french bread at the store. They will probably be cut in half, butter the inside, Pop it in the oven at like 300 degrees for 5-8 minutes.

Good luck.

i think you should make them something that you know that is easy, and then do something creative that they would like. i will give you a hint. cook a pizza and a salad. put a home film in, and they will ennjoy that. sometimes something that is silly turns out to be very memorable......... good luck...

Buy fancy anniversary china dishes, order their favorite takeout and serve the food on it. Make it a candle light dinner for two. Who will complain when its your favorite meal

Find a recipe for a casserole on the Internet, they're extremely easy to make. Pasta is pretty easy to make and salad. I find baking is pretty straight forward, so you may want to find a recipe for a cake or something as well.

Just go for something really easy like a fabulous tossed salad with bits of apple and fruit in it.
Then grill off some steak or chicken breasts and slice them thinly.
Add a little lemon juice and oil to teh grill pan juices and use it as a dressing.
Sprinkle with some chopped nuts and it looks fantastic.
Buy a good soup with fresh crunchy beard as a starter and of course buy something really special as a desert! A fabulous cheesecake.
Doing this means you have plenty of time to talk to them and you can't make many mistakes once you have the salad ready and the soup ready to heat in a pan!

HAve fun.

I'm suggesting broiled chicken. :)

Good old pot roast is usually a safe bet. Easy and all in one pan.

Penne pasta with spinach and bacon

1 (12 ounce) package penne pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
6 slices bacon, chopped
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 bunch fresh spinach, rinsed and torn into bite-size pieces

DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta, and cook until tender, 8 to 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place bacon in the skillet, and cook until browned and crisp. Add garlic, and cook for about 1 minute. Stir in the tomatoes, and cook until heated through.
Place the spinach into a colander, and drain the hot pasta over it so it is wilted. Transfer to a large serving bowl, and toss with the remaining olive oil, and the bacon and tomato mixture.

Heres a link to the picture.. it sounds delish and also the presentation is nice.. serve up with some garlic bread made from a loaf of french bread, butter and garlic.
