What goes good with mussels?!

Question: I'm making some mussels with white wine, onions, and lemon... (this recipe to be exact: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/... exact i'm not going to use a grill) I'm going to serve it with crusty bread to dip in the sauce. Do you think this will be enough or should I have something else with it? If so, any ideas? I'm not quite sure what would go good with it. No pasta, as my boyfriend hates pasta. (This is going to be just a meal for us two)

Any suggestions are appreciated!

I would add a salad of cherry or grape tomatoes cut in half, mixed with sliced cucumber, broccoli heads, and yellow sweet peppers cut into strips served with homemade Italian dressing: red wine vinegar, olive oil, diced Greek oregano, chives, fine minced garlic, a pinch of ground sea salt and parsley. Let the dressing sit a good hour or two in the fridge, then shake to pour over the salad. Grind some fresh pepper over the top along with a three to five Italian shredded cheese blend.

Definately a salad. Mixed greens or a ceasar would be great! Have a wonderful dinner!

A salad and maybe a rice side or cheesy baked potatoes. Good Luck!

a bottle of good red wine!

i'll be making that shortly , i'll be adding 1 # med shrimp + 1# bay scallops to it . a greek salad would really finish it off - lots of feta chez
thanx for the idea

DON'T FORGET to properly clean the mussels! Remove the "beards" and wash them well. Any open ones, you don't want to eat.

Garlic bread and either white sauce or red sauce.

Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

How about some melted butter

hush puppies and onion rings

Rice is always a safe bet when it comes to pairing something up with any kind of seafood.
