Is this a Healthy Dinner meal plan?!

Question: I am a teen and trying to avoid all this junk targeted at kids. My mom can't cook for two nights (work), so I am planning my next two dinners that I have to prepare.

Do these sound like a healthy dinner to you?

Thursday:
Pasta & steamed veggies
-Whole grain pasta
-Bell peppers, carrots, and snow peas-with a dash of soy sauce

Friday:
Chicken & Pineapple kabobs
-Chicken diced into chunks-dash of lemon
-Diced pineapples
-Side of unsalted peanuts

Sounds like a terrific menu! ... My only suggestion is to add a veggie on Friday... maybe steamed snap peas, or edaname

bravo to you! not only are those meal plans healthy, but they're fun and creative. good job :)

and by doing those things you'll hopefully be able to motivate other teens around here to steer away from saturated foods as well.

Wow! those are terrific menues. The only thing I would change is add some veggies to Friday's meal. Perhaps baby carrots and raw broccoli with dip.
If you want a quick and easy dessert, make some instand pudding for a calcium boost in the diet.

Wow you are so responsible. Your menu looks good to me. However I have a suggestion for Friday. Maybe you should have a side of rice pilaf or green salad instead of peanuts. You can buy instant rice pilaf from grocery stores. It's pretty easy to prepare them.

nice work, idea for friday, instead of a side of unsalted peanuts, which is a good idea on its own, you could make a peanut sauce to dip the pineapple and chicken in, you can go to epicurious.com to find some, it's my favorite site

Wow, great meals and balanced too!

More teens and even younger kids need to learn to cook and plan meals. Maybe you could start a cooking class or website aimed at teens cooking.
