What else can i add to my coleslaw?!
Answers: it seems to be lacking flavor so i need some ideas. thanks
I don't know what's already in there, so hard to tell why it's bland:) ..... but I always add 1-2 tsp. of horseradish and 2 tsp. of dried dillweed to my coleslaw. You can also throw in some dry-roasted peanuts ..... or crunch up a package of dry ramen noodles and throw them in (add the flavor pkg. to some mayo and vinegar and use for the dressing)....
lemon, I make my coleslaw with mayo and lemon juice salt pepper and a bit of garlic.

I like the taste of KFC's coleslaw. Here's a copycat recipe.

I add black pepper, celery seed, and a handful each of raisins and dried cranberries.
I put grated carrot and radish in with the cabbage. I make the dressing with oil, Heinz Gourmet salad vinegar, mayo and a tsp of sugar, salt & pepper. Mix the dressing in a small bowl and taste as you go so you can alter it to suit you.
I use mayo, sour cream, sugar and a ts. of apple vinegar, then I add some pineapple chunks, from the can and it makes it very yummy, or I add dried blueberries and it gives it a whole different flavor, some other days I add walnuts with dried cranberry and some diced apples, very yummy too, my husband and kids love them all.
Spicy mayo!
or some of that red cabbage
alot of people may not agree with this, but i always put crushed red pepper in my pasta salad as well as coleslaw. i like a little kick to ordinary foods but cannot handle the hardcore spice from other peppers. good luck!
This was my mother's recipe. Everyone likes it, but I do it all by eye. I'll try to give you proportions.
1 cup real mayonnaise
1 tsp mustard
1 Tbsp with vinegar
1 Tbsp sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk.
Wisk all the ingredients together and mix into shredded cabbage.
That's it. Its creamy and has a good balance of sweet and sour flavors.

Easy Cooking Recipes
A camping recipe from Lou Ann. You can add as much vegetables and cabbage and even add another can of corn beef per your taste and quantities you want to make. You can use Natural Seasoning, Dash, or pepper, celery seed, salt, garlic and anything else you want to season with. I use Natural Seasoning, because it has most of the seasonings in it. Play with it.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hours,
Ingredients:
1 can corn beef
1 bag mixed vegetables or 2 cans of Vegetable All
2 bags of coleslaw or half a head of cabbage
4 good size potatoes
seasonings
Preparation:
Open the can of corn beef and put it in a pot of water and add what seasonings you want to use. Cook until the corn beef has broken up and has created broth in the pot (approximately 30 minutes). Then peel and cut up your potatoes into small pieces and add to the pot. If you have frozen vegetables, add them in with the potatoes. If you decided on canned vegetables, wait until the potatoes are done before adding. When the potatoes are done, add the coleslaw or 1/2 head of cabbage that has been cut up into small pieces, and if you decided on canned vegetables add them as well. Check the broth to see if you need to add more seasoning and cook
Ina Garten has a coleslaw recipe with blue cheese crumbles added. Ironic, that episode was on tv today!
I'm not sure what exactly it is you've already put in your coleslaw but you should add some sugar, vinegar, and cabbage, and shredded carrot.
