Can milk still go off once it's cooked?!
Answers: If I use milk thats use by date was yesterday, but it still smells fine, to make mac & cheese tonight - will it be ok for a few days?
yes it is fine, milk is usually ok to use when cooking for 2-3days after best before date
'The' most interesting question of the day so far me thinks! no idea mate, but i am sure some brainy box out there will know!
nope i wouldn't be using out of date milk, or keeping mac and cheese for more than a day!
As long as it still smells and taste good milk can usually last a little bit after its sell by date some time even a week or two if held right.
Hi Gemma T,
Yes the milk will be okay probably a week after expiration date. I started freezing my milk into pints at a time cause some days I am not into milk (place in freezer then when I need milk just put into refrigerator to thaw ( I've used whole, 2 precent, skim). Have a good day. :0)
Additional Details: doesn't change the way milk tastes when frozen either.
Yes. The "best before" date is only put there to protect the manufacturer. Milk is still perfectly fine for consumption, until it develops a smell or lumps up in your coffee.
that date is a buy date not a throw out by date .

I find that if you cook the milk in your mac n cheese it will extend the life of the milk.
yes, it'll be fine tightly wrapped in the fridge.
