How to cook bacon in the microwave?!

Question: i want bacon and eggs for breakfast, but i'm feeling lazy. ive never had bacon cooked in the microwave. is it any good? is it worth it? should i do it? are there any other ways of doing it that are easy (other then pan frying)? and last of all, how do i do it?

ps. it is middle rashers, so its the roundish bit, with the long tailish bit attatched, and it has the thick thing all along the edge, i think its called the rind...

oh, and its two rashers

but is it just as good as pan frying?

You can microwave bacon just fine. Lay the strips on a piece of paper towel and microwave 2 minutes per strip. Turn them over and go another 2 minutes. Keep going until it is done to your liking. You can also bake it for 15-20 minutes on 350 F, turning it over halfway through.

Good luck!

haha yes there this thing called 5 mins or 5 sec its somin 5 bacon every herd of it? well its bacon you putin the mircrowave and its is very good .. i think

Hi,
Its fine as long as you are not looking for crispy bacon, place
rashers on a plate cling film cook two min ...... job done, no need to turn as the heat of the plate cooks the bottom.
Actually is not that bad.

It's pretty good...depends on how you like it. But it's worth a try because the clean up is really easy. Wrap the bacon loosely in one layer in two paper towels (to soak up the fat and keep it from splattering the oven) and put it on a plate in the oven. For two rashers check after a minute and 45 seconds and then every 15 seconds after that. Once your experienced you'll know exactly how much is required for your oven and your bacon.

And the plate is nice and warm.

I agree with Ashley. That's the perfect way to cook bacon in the microwave.

no worries, just wrap it in napkins/paper towels and set it to a low time first to sizzle it, then give it another to eliminate the fat.
