Steak marinade.?!
Answers: I need a good simple recipe for a steak marinade. I have stuff like garlic worchestershire sauce olive oil. Also a whole cabinet of spices. Could I get some help please.
OK....red wine vineager, soy sauce, garlic (fresh or powder)..avoid garlic salt because the soy has enough salt. Pepper, and some olive oil...how much meat? You dont need alot to marinate it...I dont measure, I have been doing it so long..But I suggest a half cup red wine vinagar, quarter cup soy, third cup olive oil, and alot of garlic...and quite a few dashes of pepper.....if its not enough, make more...works for chicken too....
I would mix tuna fish and barbeque sauce.
Anytime I marinate steak, I just throw a bunch of stuff together. I mix up worchestershire, red wine or apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, oil and a little water. Then stir in seasonings to taste. I usually use garlic powder (or chop fresh garlic), onion powder, fresh ground pepper. Sometimes I will stir in a little dijon mustard. Good luck!
lipton onion soup mix w/ a touch of water is great and easy. just mix to the appropriate consistency.
I make a great BBQ marinade for steaks of peanutoil, balsamic vinegar, ketjap manis, honey, ketchup, chili powder, onion powder and curry. You can add garlic as well, if you like it.
do you have any red or dark wine ? i use blackberry wine all the time
2 tbsp. prepared yellow mustard
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 tsp. minced garlic (1/4 tsp. garlic powder)
1 tbsp. minced onion (1 tsp. onion powder)
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/2 cup water to thin marinade
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Place steaks in ziploc baggie and pour marinade overtop. Allow to rest for at least two hours, preferably overnight for best flavor and tenderness.
SALT AND PEPPER ONLY!! Trust me. If you are going to pay big bucks for a good steak, don't ruin it by covering up the flavor with a bunch of crap. You can add stuff to taste AFTER it's cooked.
