  • OK here are some of the add ons:

    mushrooms
    clams
    meatballs

    red wine and carrots.

Soy Sauce, vegemite, red wine, garlic, chilli, bacon

I do a mean spag bol, its the favorite among my friends!

I love spaghetti Bolognese. I imagine you are already using the mandatory garlic.
Drop in an Oxo cube like Katy did!! It works too.

Have you added some basil and bacon...(fry the bacon to really crisp after you have diced it into small pieces, probably just one slice is enough) and add a very small amount of sugar near the end...about half of one teaspoon and it makes a fantastic difference to the taste!!!

Loooong slow cooking (think hours), only use fresh ingredients (no dried herbs or sauces in jars etc) and get meat from the butcher.
These three simple steps really seal this dish

toasted and crushed fennel seed adds a really nice flavour, and a splash of red wine.

Yup, use a really good wine in your bolognese sauce, also try frying shallots in honey and oil, then adding them to the sauce at a late stage.

you have to start with a great marinara sauce......
brown some ground beef and onions and garlic then drain off the grease, add in the sauce and cook together on a low heat for atleast 30 minutes. it is really yummy

I was in Greece last year and i had the best spag bol ever, it had sausage and bacon and garlic in it. It really was yummy. xx

Well, my kids are really fussy eaters, and they can't get enough of my spag bol. It's simple, straightforward and delicious:

    Ingredients:
    - 500g Mince (or, if you're in the USA, that would be about 1 pound of of whatever you call minced meat over there)
    - 1 small onion
    - 1 large carrot
    - Garlic
    - 1 can of diced tomatoes (or dice up 4 or 5 large tomatoes yourself)
    - 1 can of tomato soup
    - Pasta (spirals, tubes or macaroni pasta is best. Anything BUT the long, thin spaghetti. The meat sauce doesn't adhere to it very well, and it's really messy. Trust me on this...)
    - Grated cheese

    Method:
    - Cook the pasta while you're cooking the meat sauce.
    - Add a little oil to a frypan. When the pan is hot, add the onion and garlic, just for a minute or two, then add the mince.
    - When the mince is partly cooked, add the carrot.
    - When the mince is cooked right through, add the tomatoes.
    - Turn the heat down. Add the can of tomato soup and - here's the kicker - add sugar to taste. Not too much, not too little. I usually add a heaped tablespoon. (Personally, I use Splenda, not sugar.)
    - Allow to cook on low for 5 minutes.
    - When pasta is cooked, drain well and ADD to mince in the frypan. Stir through well.
    - Turn the heat OFF, ADD cheese (as little or as much as you like) to the mince and pasta.
    - Serve it up and HOE IN!

    Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

    Bacon and some great meatballs.YUMMY!!!

I think using lamb mince and adding a little Worcestershire sauce to all the usual ingredients makes it extra specially tasty....Enjoy!

Make it in a slow cooker, get the flavours out.

i'm not kidding about this. my mum use to spit on the spag bol because she was angry with the whole family. i was the only one who was let in into the thing because i did not dissappoint her that day.

she gave me money to eat outside with my friends. when i went back home, my bro told me that i was missing out on the best spag bol he has ever tasted.

you should try doing that. just don't get caught.
