How much should I sell my cucpakes for?!
Answers: I am having a bake sale next week in hopes to raise money for breast cancer awareness. The cost of my baking supplies, including liners and materials is approx = $3 for 18 cupcakes. I want to recoup my material cost obviously. Since this is a community hall I don’t have to pay for my table which is a good thing, however, what is a good price to sell a medium sized cupcake, still recoup a cost and raise money. In other words, what would you guys be willing to pay for a cupcake at a bake sale?
$1.00 would be fair.
Set a minimum price and indicate that additional donations are going to breast cancer awareness and some people will pay more (I know I would)
2.50
I'd say 1.50
Where I come from anything over a dollar is highway robbery. It should be 50 or 75 cents each
a 1.00 would totally be fair, you will make back what you spend to make the cupcakes and people will buy it for a dollar because it would not be too expensive.
a good idea is to put a bottle or jar and then tell people if they don't want to buy a cupcake they can just make a donation.

50 cents
If they are really pretty, charge a dollar. If they are very plain with nothing on top but icing, charge 75 cents.
I would pay 2bucks for a muffin, and maybe more since it was for a good cause.
$1.00 is good price, and you won't have to have any coins for change. Keep it simple.
Good luck and have a good time.
depending on the size, kind of cake, and topping - between $.50 (for a cake mix, small cupcake with minimal icing) to $1.50 (for a big, gourmet cupcake with elaborate topping) ..... Of course, Sprinkles can get a minimum of $3.50 for theirs:) If you don't know about Sprinkles, check out their website....
3 bucks each you are raising money for great cause; don't be afraid charge for them
A dollar to a dollar fifty should be fine. Here in L.A. (Los Angeles) you can't get a cupcake for less than 3 bucks. Well, at bakeries that is.
Well, your cup cakes are costing you 16 cents a piece for ingriedients. Is this including your time and labor to produce them? What about the gas or electricity to run your oven? In theroy you take the cost, 16 cents and multiply by 3 to cover costs (including energy ie; gas, electricity) but in order to make a profit, multiply by 6. This comes to 96 cents per cupcake. I would round up and charge $1.00 a piece. I think the average consumer could handle that. Your time is valuable and it's for a worthy cause, charge accordingly.
