Egg Salad Sanwiches....?!

Question: Last night I made an egg salad sandwich for a quick snack and my recipe for them is quick and good, but it got me to thinking there has to be other things ppl put in there e.s.s. that might make mine better......sooo....how do you make your e.s.s.? and since your answering that, what do you do with your tuna salad and your chicken salad that may be different, but really good?

*my egg salad is just a mushed up boiled egg, some s&p, little mayo and dab of mustard*

I hate to brag :), but I make the worlds BEST e.s.s's!

3 parts Chopped hard boiled eggs
1 part diced crunch celery
1 part diced bread and butter pickle
1 part diced red onion
1-2 tablespoons bread and butter pickle juice
enough salad dressing-not mayo-to hold everything together. Skimp on the dressing because this mixture gets more moist with time.
1 pinch salt, or to taste.

These are great inside a pita or on whole wheat sandwhich bread! Enjoy!

Hard boiled egg, mayo, paprika, celery, s&p, and lettuce.

That's the best way to me. I sometimes add a dash of horseradish to my egg salad, to give it a kick.

If you want really good chicken salad, take some leftover fried chicken, and pull it off the bone by hand and shred it with the breading still attached. Then make as usual...yum!!!

tuna, chopped raw onion and chillie flakes , mayo yum!

I have just recently been making those..

tuna & egg combo salad sandwiches.

recipe is pretty much
1 can of drained, chopped tuna.
3 chopped boiled eggs
about 3 spoonfuls of mayonaise
a few squeezes of mustard
relish
and black pepper.

it's very good.

I make mine the same exact way as you but I put a bit of relish in mine. You can also try some seasoned salt instead of salt & pepper.

i put a TON of dill, little lite mayo, garlic salt, and pepper. the dill is really what makes it delicious though.

onion
mayo
celery
red pepper
tad of olive oil in the mix.

it's good

Chicken salad is great with some celery, grapes, mayo, s&p, and just before serving toast some almond slivers, pour a little almond extract on them when they are still warm, then add to the chicken salad.

if you like fishy .. I suggest adding some salmon cream cheese to your egg salad mix ...

for the tuna salad, I make it in a food processor and aside from the obvious, I add pine nuts, celery, a little anchovy paste and a little Parmesan cheese sometimes some parsley

I make mine just like yours, except I add some cut-up pickles. Good stuff!

My egg salad sandwich is pretty much the same.
But my tuna sandwiches I add cut up green olives, pickle relish, mustard, mayo, and always butter the bread before I stick the tuna mixture on it. I do the same with chicken salad.

my egg salad is boiled eggs and mayo. i am not a big mustard fan and i rarely add salt and pepper to anything. tuna salad is tuna, lots of mayo and pickles. i like chicken salad but have actually never made it, place i use to work at though was chicken, mayo, green onions, and grapes. sounds a little weird but it is actually quite good.

dill relish is the key

Add a little sweet pickle juice (about a tablespoon) and a dash of onion powder. I've never had it with mustard. Interesting!

i add mayo and mustard too. not too much different. i like it creamy though.

for chicken salad, i like using left over KFC, or just any left overs, nice and cold. then i add mayo, cream cheese, and walnuts. celery is good in there too. I cant remember what else, but the cream cheese is yummy.

That's how I make mine but without the mustard. For tuna I just add mayo and little finely diced onion. Drain it well though, and I have to eat mine on toasted buttered bread.
My chix salad I add granny smith apples to for a little tart crunch, dried cherries, celery, s & p.

Egg S&P curry powder.
Egg S&P spring onion green, garlic chive, chives. Snip finely into the plate in which you mash your eggs. I like my eggs on the slightly runny side so it soaks into the bread a little.

egg salad same as yours but i add chopped green olives then put on bread add lettuce and tomatoes

My mom always just did cut up boiled eggs and mayo, thats it. She used to add onions in it which is good if you like onions... not me! My friends mom adds mayo, mustard, sometimes celery and her dad adds some parsley instead of celery. I thought both were good. Personally just the egg and mayo is best! Im sure adding some ham or something in it wouldnt be too bad... just an idea.
Oh! and my tuna salad is just mayo, tuna and lots of pickles! mhmmm =)

don't mess with perfection
but for tuna and chicken salad
tuna add chopped apple
chicken add whole celery seed, chopped apple, walnuts

I like to mix the mashed egg with celery, onion and Thousand Island dressing and add a dash of cayenne pepper.

As for tuna, I like chopped red onion, dill relish, fresh parsley, mayo. I also prefer to serve mine on whole wheat toast, with sliced tomato, and iceberg lettuce. Though if I just want a quick tuna salad... I've been known to mix the tuna with tartar sauce as a shortcut.

Chicken salad for me has to be made from leftover cooked chicken. I hate the taste of canned chicken. I like mine with Mayo, a bit of Dijon mustard, celery, onion, and Mrs Dash. I like it best on sourdough bread.

add relish

Eggs salad

5 diced boiled eggs
1/4 cup mayo
1 T minced dill pickle
1 T minced onion

for my tuna salad I simple add 2 cans tuna to my egg salad.

Chicken salad

2 Cups cubed chicken breast
1/2 Cup Ranch dressing
1 T chopped Chipotle
1 T bacon bits
1/2 cup shredded cheddar
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes halved

I put boiled eggs, mayo, hot mustard, pickles, sometimes pimentos and i mash my eggs!
