Have you prepared a good paste for making edible flowers?, gum paste, pastillaje etc?!
The recipe is :
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup hot water
1/3 cup corn syrup
just put everything in a mixer a mix it till you get the right consistency. After that you can add food coloring. To be honest I usually just by my fondant instead of making it. Making a large amount of fondant will bring a mixer to it knees and burn out the motor that much faster.
