Meringue cookies?!

Question: I tried to make strawberry meringue and my meringue separated. Theres a foamy puff on top and a sugary syrup on the bottom.
I put cream of tartar and confectioners sugar (slowly) and its really watery, nothing is working to form the peaks.

Is there anyway to save this so I don't have to throw away 6 egg whites? Any suggestions would be great.

I'm pretty sure if you put some patience into it, it'll peak up.
Use an electric mixer and beat for like 8-10 minutes.

Is it raining there? or really humid? The sugar won't incorporate correctly if it's really humid. You really can't make meringue, or candy then ..... Also, if the bowl you were mixing in wasn't squeaky clean and dry (not a speck of oil from before, and dried off), then the meringue may not whip well ..... It's suggested that you chill the bowl & beaters first, but I've never done that:) ...... All I can suggest, is that you put the "meringue" on some parchment paper, on a baking sheet, and bake it and use it as a "nest" or shell. You could put some pudding or Cool Whip and/or fruit inside of it....

Go ahead and put something on top of them such as strawberries, blueberries, jam...they will still taste good.

I use regular sugar in mine and I sometimes leave out the chips in the following recipe. I like to spoon fruits over these.
