Is it OK to bake/broil frozen fish fillets without thawing them?!

Question: When I forget to defrost I stick them in a cold water, they thaw really quick (like frozen shrimp). If the package says to thaw first the fish probably tastes the best from that state, not to mention it may make the texture "off".

Yes....I do it all the time.

Yes,that's perfectly fine and in fact recommended for frozen BOXED fillets.Just check using a fork to see if it is fully cooked through before serving.

i do and it comes out just fine

I bake it at 400 degrees for about 18 minutes. Frozen

i dont think so....the box MIGHT have dictions to cook if theyre frozen, but i'd be worried....

It is safe to broil or bake anything that is frozen. Just make sure you cook it long enough so that it is thoroughly cooked - which we all do anyway.
