oven, only way to get em crispy

oven, theres no taste out of the microwave

micro power

i part cook them in the microwave...then brush them in olive oil & put them in the oven to get a brown crispy skin...yummy!

depens on how fast i want my tatter...now or in 3 days

campfire yummmm

Oven wrapped in tin foil for hour and half.
Microwave make the skin soggy and the potato go smaller!
I used to do them in the microwave untill i found the secret of the oven.

Oven

Put them in the oven. Much nicer

definitely oven. 100 times better to eat.

Oven, everytime, otherwise the skin goes all soggy

Oven every time!!!

Crisp golden brown skin, perfect for melting some cheese over.... For best results, be patient and take the time to bung 'em in the oven!!!!

oven

got a combi micro does them for 10mins on radation, then few hot grill and plate. perfect

I used to do it in the oven, but now that I figured out the microwave is so much easier, I do it that way. They DO taste better from the oven, though.

i like them in the microwave..because they come out softer...when put in the oven...potatoes feel dry...just spread some butter..sour cream..some salt and pepper..and your good! delicious!

either or, but they taste better in the oven, especially if your one of those people like me who eat the skin

I stick them in the microwave for 10 mins to start them off then finish them off in a really hot oven. Then I cut them in half, scoop out the middle and mash with cooked bacon and cheese and refill the shells and put more cheese on top then grill.
Tasty!

micro then oven

oven mmmmmmmmm
thanks i know what im having for my tea now =))

Oh the microwave!
UNLESS I have a roast in the oven...then I will bake the potatoes in the oven while the roast is cooking.

oven there nothing better
if nuked they could lose there heat to fast plus explode and i seen that happen lol

oven

Both. Nothing can ruin a potato.

Tried both and am starting to lean towards 10 minute "Menu a la Ping" rather than wait for 40 mins for some oven frazzled tatties.

Like everything else in life, it depends on the time available, most times it's in the oven with us because they are far superior, micro is the last resort.

Even better in the summer is the BBQ or bonfire.

Nicer in the oven, quicker in the microwave.
Best of all, in a bonfire.

Ok. I prefer my microwave method. And ten minutes may be too long depending on the size of the tater. I wash the tater to begin with...
then tightly wrap it in press and seal plastic wrap. No, I don't pierce the tater either. One small to medium tater takes about 5 to 6 minutes on high. It comes out very fluffly.

Oven every time, gas is the best too!

baked potato's are best done in the microwave,it makes them fluffy and very hot so the butter and cheese melts into the potato much faster.
