I used to work at a smoothie house,
add frozen fruit only..no fresh..
use sorbet or frozen yogurt instead of
plain, make equal portions...you'll have one tasty
smoothie.

I use to have the same problem, It tasted nice, but if i didn't drink it immediately, it went really thick!
I stopped using milk, and would use yoghurt, and water or fruit juice, that did the trick, and it wasn't so thick.
Its more a juice then a smoothie, but its healthier!

#1 I don't like milk in mine, so that might be why it didn't taste good. Juice brings a lot more flavor to it. And you have to use ice, because it will be warm, unless all your fruit was cold to begin with. And don't worry about the ice watering it down. It makes it good.

Put a few cubes of ice in the blender, and crush it until it's snowy/flaky. It's easier to crush the ice this way.

Then add yogurt (about 1/2 cup), a banana, a good splash of juice (orange is good, apple seems to make it sour) and another fruit (frozen berries, an orange, an apple etc.).

A banana is the key. This will make a very big smoothie. It probably won't even fit a 16 oz cup, but you can split it, or cut the recipe down. I drink the whole thing, though.

add all the possible and existing fruits in your smoothie
or something that you might find in your household

damn thats good.....we tried that at our school
try putting crushed peppers
or chili......
it tastes good

but put a lot...because, sometimes you won't taste the chiliness...
