Anyone else forced to live on the Ramen Noodle diet??!
Anyone else as poor as me ( college kids? ) have any stories about the nasty food they've been forced to live on? :P?

I have never been in that situation, but my friend told me this story. When he was a college student about 30 years ago, he could barely pay the rent or afford food. The last thing he had left to eat one day was a box of mac and cheese. He tried to strain the pasta with his hand, but the water was too hot, and most of the pasta went down the drain. He scooped out what he could, mixed the "cheese" powder with water, and ate it anyway.
He has a master's degree now, teaches at a university, and makes a lot of money. I'm sure your situation will improve too! In the meantime, try to learn how to make your own, less processed food. Ramen noodles are ok, but the seasoning packets contain a lot of salt and msg. Do you have a blender? Blend a banana, water, and ice for a cheap smoothie. Or buy a can of $1 tomato sauce and pour it over the cheapest pasta you can find. Slice a potato into wedges, drizzle it with a little oil, and stick it in the oven. There are a lot of websites devoted to eating cheaply. Good luck!
???
You got access to a computer
and your food budget is 13¢
BS.

I went through a stretch when all I ate was ramen noodle. The flavor packets really tasted good on the noodles. Also me a two room mates I had lived in a little trailer all we ate for a week was pancakes. That was all we had instant pancake batter we ran out of syrup and used jelly . Then I went through another time I did not have a place to cook so I either went to the Burger King they used to have .29 cent hamburgers. I would buy like 5 of them. Or I would go to the all you can eat Chinese place at lunch for $3.95 eat for over an hour. Then I had another period where I had to stand in soup lines with the other homeless people some times we ate good though. I used to sell blood plasma for a few dollars yeah I know what it is to be broke. I been poor so long I am finally good at it. Ha ha things have gotten better since then look I can afford a computer and now my problem is I need to cut back on eating cause I am gaining weight. Problems we have come and go, But the Song Remains the Same !!!
Yup, eat them alot. The seasoning is a bit strong for me, but I cook 2 pkgs at a time and use one seasoning package. Then I use that other seasoning package when I cook white rice. I also found a store that sells 3lb elbow mac for $2.39.
Then, there's these lovely hot dogs I found at 3 lbs for $3 - whatever they're made of doesn't taste too bad smothered with ketchup LOL
Hang in there ;)
