Spicing up white rice?!

Question: I'm making porn loin for supper, seasoned with rosemary, montreal steak spice and garlic. Along with that we're having spinach and rice.

I'm not a huge fan of plain white rice, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to spice it up so that it would go with the rest of the meal.

Thanks :)

I'm sending you my mushroom rice recipe. I created it for JUST the reason you described. It's very forgiving and can be tailored to what spices you want. Enjoy!

With the flavors you are describing, you don't want to compete with them in your rice. Cook your rice in chicken broth instead of water and add some chopped chives or green onion and a sprinkle of parmesan at serving time. Additionally, when I make teriyaki pork loin or chicken, I cook my rice in pineapple juice mixed with chicken broth for added flavor.

sautee a little onion or shallot in olive oil add a little salt and cracked pepper. Instead of water use chicken broth and a little white wine and follow the package directions.. if you have saffron add that,

we use shoyu(soy sauce). in hawaii almost everyone eats their rice with shoyu. if you don't have any sprinkle it with a little bit of table salt after it is done cooking...mixing it around so the salt can distribute evenly.

just add chopped carrots, chopped leeks, peas, cardamom cloves, one or two cinnamon sticks, a pinch of saffron, a bay leaf, salt n pepper, while you boil/cook the rice....it'll make a simple pulav...

or try spicing it up with some rice vinegar and sugar for tang....

Butter is good and so is any other spice like cinnamon.

Saute onions and capsicum (red and green)fold into ric e. It will look colourful

You have lots of good suggestions. Wild Rice, or other flavored rice could be good. Anyway, butter and some garlic salt would be good.

You could put some soy sauce on it since it would compliment the Pork Loin. I know rice can be bland but or a little butter makes it good too.

Honey
Salsa
Melted cheese
Salad dressing
Orange jelly
Soy sauce (my favorite)
Steak sauce
Butter
Gravy
Butter "spray" (can)
Rotel (canned tomatoes-choose mild)

I often add dill as a default for spicing up rice, tends to kind of go with anything

you could cook the white rice w/ some ginger. Cut it into small pieces & put it in the rice cooker w/ some ginger in it. Or put it when the rice is done.

You could also use fish sauce to eat it w/ or soy sauce. I usually eat fish sauce w/ boiled chicken. It's good.

Cook the rice with a little bit butter and salt. When it's cook put some fresh dill and mix it...it's so delicious.
