[EASY 10 POINTS]

you can use regular bread to make bread crumbs but you have to toast the bread first. it does work better if the bread is stale, and you may wish to consider seasoning the crumbs once you've made them.

some good substitutes for bread crumbs would be oats (not instant oatmeal unless it's unsugared), wheat germ, wheat bran, cooked rice (brown is better), matza meal and cooked lentils.

i like to add chopped onions to burger meat, but i sautée them first, and don't put them in the burger raw. you can, but i think it tastes better cooked first.

i also like to add shredded cheese (any kind, but keep in mind mozarella will become gooey). then you don't have to put a slice of cheese on top to make a cheeseburger!

for a real kick add some chopped tomatoes and a small amount of very finely chopped dried jalapeno pepper.

g

yes it is the same thing exactly

Yeah that should be good any bread will make bread crumbs.
Oh and adding to your second question if you have never made hamburgers you can bye pre made ones at the store but if its far away than don't!

Hope this information helped!

Yes you can use regular bread - toast it up and then throw in the chopper (food blender).

I don't use bread crumbs or eggs, I just season them up and add a dash of hot sauce (salsa or Tabasco, whatever I have lying around). They stay together just fine!

You can use crackers just crush them up

Crackers will work too. Like saltines.

who needs bread crumbs or eggs for burgers? That sounds like meatloaf. Just form a nice patty of meat, don't handle it too much, season it with some salt and papper, then grill it or pan fry. Simple.

You can use regular bread and make it into bread crumbs I guess. Make sure you toast it atleast, so it's not too smushy. But the best thing to do would probably be going to get bread crumbs.

Yes, it is the same thing, you usually wait till the bread is hard and put it in a grinder. I have a question though, why would you put breadcrumps and/or eggs in your hamburgers? I know you put that in meatloaf, but I never heard of it in burgers.

Original bread crumbs will work fine. Make sure to not push down on the patty when frying or else all the juice will be gone and you'll be left will a thin burger.

sure you can
crumble the bread as best you can 2 slices*(cut crusts off)
add one egg beaten
if you have worchestershire sauce, add a few shakes
salt/pepper/garlic powder
one small diced finely/ onion
squirt or 2 of Ketchup
combine together form into patties* :)

or crush crackers

If you have any lipton onion soup in a packet mix with the ground beef and the burgers come out really moist and a little seasoned although you can't tell the onion soup is in it unlesss you know.

Well, they are called bread crumbs because they are bread crumbs-other than seasoning what else would be in there?

But I never made hamburgers with bread crumbs OR eggs-are you sure you're not talking about meatloaf?

sure you can .... just crumble them up between your hands. ... add some seasoned salt; some chopped onions; maybe a little chili powder...whatever seasoning YOU like:) .... You can also use uncooked oats instead of bread crumbs, or instant potato flakes, or crushed cornflakes

yes, it is totally okay and i think it will work very well too!

crackers make much better bread crumbs than actual bread, you mash them and then you just dip the burger in eggs to make the cracker crumbs stick,

yeah no problem, the best way to do that is dry them in an oven, for a bit and then blitz them in a blender, the reason for drying them is that if you can take the moisture of of the bread, when you mix it with the meat, it will absorb the juice and flavour much better, as for the burgers themselfs, mix the meat, and the eggs. in a pan sweat off some fine diced onion, a small bit of garlic, fresh rosemary and thyme. let that cool and add to the meat( this helps keep the meat moist during cooking as well as adding flavor) . season well with rock salt and milled pepper and fresh parsley. and you have a great burger mix

Why are you putting anything in them anyway? When I make hamburgers I just form the patty & grill or broil.

yep

don't use bread crumbs that will make it dry get some Lipton soup mix and use it

It is!!!!! lol. i did that once my self. i was surprised that it actually works. The only diff is my diy bread cumbs is of finer texture. I overblend it i tink. lol. Oh don forget to add some diced garlic and a dash of pepper. Add flavour to it. YUMMY!

You can use bread...soak the break in milk then break it up first ...You don't have to use bread crumbs you can just use egg...I think the bread just makes the meat go farther....I just use egg and my burgers are great.
