My recipe calls for a box of scalloped potato mix, can i use a box of Au Gratin instead?!

Question: sure, your recipe will just be cheesier...

Answers: sure, your recipe will just be cheesier...

I would think so. Yes.

Only if you can't get a box of scalloped potato mix

Although they aren't the same........I would.

Absolutely, it's just a different kind of cheese. But actually does taste the same! LOL

Yes you can, they are pretty much the same..just a difference in taste.

If the cheese goes well with everything else, go ahead and use it.

sure , go ahead .

Sure you can. The difference between scalloped potatoes and au gratin is that au gratin has cheese in it and scalloped doesn't. Most boxed mixes for au gratin potato have a very light cheese flavor so it won't really be a factor unless you're not wanting any cheese flavor at all in your dish. If your dish contains cheese, then you're good to go (you will enhance your cheese flavor)! Good luck!

sure... it's the dried potato slices you want anyway.

just buy a packet of cadburys smash mix it up to what it says on the tin then just add grated cheese .and put it on top

Cooking is an experiment.... YES

Sure, the only real difference is that the au gratin seasoning packet has cheese in it.. it should work OK, but the flavor will be a little different...
