Chipolte Peppers with Adobo Sauce?!
Answers: I have found a restaurant style salsa that called for 1/2 can of a 7 oz can of Chipolte Peppers w/Adobo Sauce and 2 Jalepeno peppers. This salsa was amazing except for the fact that it was sooooo hot. I love hot, but this was too hot. I like the flavor of the chipolte (first time using) so I was wondering if any suggestions which I should cut out to cut down on the heat.
First of all, Chipotle peppers in Adobo ARE jalapeno peppers, they're just smoked......I would make the salsa W/O the added jalapenos and see how it tastes. Let it sit out for about 2 hours and see how the heat level is.....
I would start with the addition of 1/2 jalapeno (take out the ribs and the seeds) and go from there.....I know the salsa that you're talking about, and I've ditched the entire jalapeno and used the entire can of Chipotle peppers.....I calm it down with some diced tomatoes.....Enjoy!!!

You could try removing the seeds and veins of the 1/2 can of chiles to make it milder... or you could add only the juice from the can, instead of the chiles, to give the salsa the chipotle flavor without the heat.
I think the jalapenos are making it too hot for you. Try using 1/2 of one jalapeno. You can always add more.
Hi you could just use one of the chipotle peppers and a little of the juice of the can. Or just the sauce but not all of it. You could also add sour cream to what you are eatting it takes the heat down some. I LOVE chipotle peppers!!
Go with 1 jalapeno pepper and remove the seeds. Then also use maybe 2 chipotle peppers or even just one for starters. You can always add more to heat it up but cant take away to cool it down,
