Buttermilk Ranch or French

Favorite is Balsamic Dijon Mustard I make; next would be Green Goddess. Also, love Ancho Chipotle Ranch!

My favorite is the store bought brand - Kraft, Seven Seas Green Goddess. Next, of course would be Ceaser, and then a Vinegar and Oil, and/or a Balsamic and Vinaigrette.

Even tho I love Kraft's, here's a great Green Goddess Salad Dressing recipe one of my friends sent me. I'm not sure where they got it:

Ingredients:
1 cup mayo
1/2 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons tarragon vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/3 cup finely chopped parsley
3 tablespoons finely minced onion
3 tablespoons mashed anchovy fillets
1 tablespoon chopped chives
2 teaspoon chopped capers
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Blend ingredients; cover and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours before using.

Honey Mustard

SPICY GINGER SALAD DRESSING

2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1-2 tablespoons fresh ground ginger
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1-2 tablespoons hot chili oil
pinch salt
pinch garlic powder

Combine all and mix before serving.

SUPER SALAD DRESSING

1/4 c. light mayonnaise
1/2 c. low-fat plain yogurt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dill weed
2 tsp. dry onion flakes
2 tbsp. Balsamic vinegar

Mix all ingredients together and chill.
This is a great "all purpose" sauce. Try it on baked potato instead of sour cream. It also makes a great raw vegetable dip.

Try different flavor vinegars for variety. If you want a thinner dressing add more vinegar - thicker less vinegar. If it's too sharp, add a pinch of sweetener.

Variation: To the mayonnaise and yogurt add 2 tablespoons ketchup, 2 tablespoons pickle juice and 2 small dill pickles diced fine - you now have Thousand Island.

Creamy and Original Italian Dressing
Ranch with bacon dressing

Italian or balsamic vinaigrette, nothing creamy

I haven't really used dressing since I was a teen. I'll eat it straight, or as an adult, I'll use Mrs. Dash. If I were to use dressing, then Thousand Island, Catalina, French, Ranch, or Creamy Cucumber. I'm liable to mix two kinds sometimes when I acutally use dressing!

This is my own recipe, I like it on fresh spinach salad with cherry tomatoes:

anna's Dijon-Pesto Dressing

2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 Tablespoon balsamic vinegar
2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 clove garlic, crushed
Pinch sugar
2 Tablespoons good quality pesto

Blend all and allow to stand for about 15 min. Your greens should be good and cold. The sharp/sweet taste goes well with "heavier" greens like fresh spinach or stirfried green asparagus.

ranch,raspberry balsamic vinaigrette, Cesar

bleu cheese if its made properly
