Does anybody know a recipe for a steak marinade?!
Answers: I think it's called black diamond? I believe it has worchestershire, garlic, jack daniels? I don't know my mom made it when I was younger (about 15 years ago) but can't find the recipe. My bf wants to marinate everything in Italian dressing, and while that's good, I think this is even better.
Black Diamond Marinated Steaks
Ingredients
2 tablespoons oil
1/4 cup light soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons ginger
1 pinch garlic powder
score steak or pierce lightly with fork. Mix all ingredients together and pour over steak. Marinate for 1 hour. Grill or cook steak.
STEAK MARINADE
6 cups sugar
5 #10 cans Dole pineapple juice
2 1/2 quarts sherry cooking wine
1/2 gallon soy sauce
1 quart red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons minced garlic
This recipe makes a very large quantity (over 2 gallons).
Mix all ingredients.
Marinade may be kept in refrigerator for up to 2 months. When ready to use, place six New York strips or sirloin steaks (thawed) in a large plastic bag.
Add two cups of marinade. Marinate steaks in refrigerate for 2 hours or up to 2 1/2 days, turning at least once every day.
Grill steaks to desired doneness.
OR
MONTREAL STEAK MARINADE
For 2 steaks:
1/2 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons Montreal Steak Seasoning (McCormick's)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
Mix ingredients together in bowl. Season steak on both sides with Montreal Steak Seasoning. Put steaks into mixture and coat. Allow to marinate for about an hour.
Broil steak in oven for about 15 minutes, flipping every five minutes. This recipe brings out the real flavor of steak.
OR
STEAK MARINADE
1 bottle Italian dressing
1 pkg. Kraft meat marinade
4 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. Cacheres steak sauce
Mix all ingredients and marinade steaks in this overnight. If you're in a hurry you can marinade for about 3 hours. Best results are to set overnight.
OR
STEAK MARINADE
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
2/3 c. lemon juice
1/3 c. salad oil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. Accent (MSG)
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. mustard
1 tsp. garlic powder
Mix all ingredients. Pour over thick steak and marinade 6 hours in refrigerator. Turn over half way (3 hours). Broil 10 minutes each side. Slice, pour marinade over and put back in oven a few minutes.
