If you eat pancakes, do you put some type of topping on them or just syrup?!

Question: I love alot of butter on mine, other than that, I just use syrup.

Answers: I love alot of butter on mine, other than that, I just use syrup.

Depends on what the occasion is. If it's pancakes for me and the family then I completely agree with you on the butter and syrup and maybe a few slices of fruit and berries. If you are getting fancy and trying to impress, make a compound butter. Which is basically a flavored butter. The way I make it is with butter, maple syrup, and orange zest(lots). You get your butter to room temp, mix in maple syrup and the orange zest and then form it into a log with the diameter of about a quarter in between some plastic wrap and set it back in the fridge to firm back up. Then slice your butter rounds out and melt them onto your pancakes with a torch, if you have one. Best on french toast.

little bit of butter, lots of syrup

blueberry syrup... lol, why?

OMG I was just going to ask this, well similar.
PEANUT BUTTER and syrup. Chocolate chips if I have them.
My dad puts apple sauce and then syrup on his.
I was wondering if anyone else puts peanut butter on their pancakes. Everyone looks at me wierd when they hear this.

It's your pancake, decorate it and for God's sake eat it!

i put tiny chocolate chips that melt on the pancake or honey

Love Blueberry Pancakes but still just use regular syrup

I love peanut butter on mine. But for something different for my children i put food color in the pancake batter then cook them. They think they are princes when i do this and it doesn't change the flavor at all. Try it sometime it makes you feel like a kid again yourself.

blueberry or cherry pie filling

my mom puts strawberries, sometimes banana pieces. and sometimes she makes blueberry or chocolate pancakes, with filling inside. other than that, i put butter and syrup on my pancakes.

i try every thing, peanut butter, jams of kind, ice cream. hot fudge, that also soft butter and syrup .

i add a handful of blueberrys to my batter
then just top with a bit of syrup when done

Enjoy it anyway you choose*:)

i make pepperoni pancakes you mix up the pancake batter and then you place 4 or 5 pieces of pepperoni on the griddle and pour the batter over the pepperoni and cook like normal pancakes then top with maple syrup the spice from the pepperoni seems like you are eating pancakes and sausage.

butter and syrup is best, my son has been wanting whipped cream on top of his lately. i guess it makes it taste more like a dessert to him.

One stick of butter.

Pancakes are great with mixed berries, maple syrup and cream.....yum!
or with banana( cooked in pan with butter) and bacon, sounds weird but trust me it works :)

I gotta say I prefer crepes.

Then it's banana's and maple syrup.

I prefer Syrup- myself. But I know LOTS of people who put jelly, powderd sugar & stuff like THAT on them! (And have you ever had "Crepe's"- with a scoop of egg-nog ice cream on them??! Talk about- "AWESOME"!!!). :)

Put whipped cream and chopped a lot of fresh strawberry and sprinkle powder sugar. Perfect... if you like to add syrup you can do it. Try it...you would love it.

I know this sounds really gross but if you mix sour cream and jelly together it's awesome...don't knock it till you try it:)

I like peanut butter and syrup on mine. Sometimes I like peach compote too but usually on waffles and with a little whipped cream too :)

just syrup **BEST ANSWER**

usually eat them plain or with apple sauce, i also absolutely love chocolate chip pancakes

sometimes, butter & sugar, butter and honey or cream...

I like toppings, they are more delicious and appetising.

You're all fools!

It's all about the honey.Maple syrup is a poor, Canadian imitation of natures perfect sweetener, honey.
