Frozen Lasagne?!

Question: Can a homemade lasagne be reheated from frozen?

Answers: Can a homemade lasagne be reheated from frozen?

Absolutely! I prepare mini lasagne lunches for my husband.
Put in oven and cover with foil (to keep from cheese burning) and take off foil in the last 15 minutes. Directly from the freezer to oven at 325 degrees for about 40-45 minutes.
or
Thaw for awhile and put in oven at 350 for 1/2 hour.

yes - as long as it is heated all the way through - make sure it is piping hot in the middle

Yes. This is also a time saver to make this ahead of time for a function where you are cooking a lot of food.

I would undercook the pasta when putting together since it will be cooking in the oven longer.

yeh definetly no problem. as long as you havent frozen it then defrosted it and then frozen it again!

Of course! Probably 45 minutes at about 350-375...I'd defrost it first, then put it in the oven...

Just don't defrost, refreeze, and then try to eat that's supposed to be bad. I don't know why it's just what I've been told.

Sure, I've done this many times before. You want to heat it at about 350 until it's completely thawed and then turn it up to about 375 until the noodles are fully cooked (that is if you're using noodles that aren't precooked).

Then just do as you normally would and remove the tin foil lid to melt the cheese at the end.

Yes - but cover in foil to stop the top burning before it gets heated through.

Yeah u can.

Just as long as this is only the second time the food has been reheated.

I.e. as long as the food was frozen after it was originally cooked, and has not since been heated.

If this IS only the second time it's been heated then it'll be fine, just make sure it's piping hot at the very centre :)

Enjoy!

I just treat frozen home cooked meals as ready made shop meals, i would say gas mark 5/6 for thirty mins but check it's heated right through with a scewer..

Of course! Cook it til heated through, its the best way not to waste food; to freeze it.

yes

yes , as long as it hasn't been in the freezer for a long time , otherwise it becomes freezer-burnt!

YES 450grams from a freezer shop=preheat 200°C or 400°C or Gas Mark 6 then cook from frozen 40- 45minutes:
850watt microwave Full power for 5minutes then agitate the tray then High power for4?minutes then stand for 2minutes
(Instructions from a frozen packet)

yes no problem as long as you heat it through completely.
