Could you share with me your favorite steak recipe & how you cook it?!

Question: It doesn't matter which type of steak, I just want to buy 1 good steak this payday & cook it up with a baked potato. I may use all recipes submitted because I may do this each payday if I can cook it right.

I usually cook rib-eye steaks. You can put them on the grill at about 450-500 and cook for a few minutes on each side, to your preference (about 9-10 minutes total for med-rare), but lately I've been cooking them indoors. Rub the steak with some salt, pepper, and garlic. Just a bit. Allow the steak to sit out for about an hour to get to room temp. Heat an oven proof pan as hot as it can get on the stove top, and the oven to 475. A cast iron skillet is perfect if you have one. Toss the steak on the hot pan and sear each side for about 2 minutes, then transfer the pan to the oven at 475. (or put the steak on a preheated broiler pan if you don't have an iron skillet). You only need about 4 more minutes to make a decent sized steak medium rare, about 6 minutes for medium. If you want it any more done, save your money and get a cheaper cut.

i also sautee some thick-sliced mushrooms in butter with a touch of garlic till just tender to top the steak.

just kosher salt, fresh ground pepper, garlic powder, and a little worcestershire sauce. make sure the steak is at room temperature b4 u grill it... grill it screamin hot ....and fast.

ROUND STEAK & VEGETABLE CASSEROLE

2 - 3 lb. round steak, cut into serving pieces
2 tbsp. salad oil
2 lg. onions, sliced
2 c. each sliced carrots and sliced fresh mushrooms
1 med. size green pepper, sliced
1/2 lb. fresh green beans, cut into pieces
3 tomatoes, sliced
1/2 c. uncooked regular rice
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. sweet basil
Oregano
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Brown the meat in the oil in a large frying pan. Arrange 1/3 of the sliced vegetables in a 4 quart casserole. Place 1/2 of the meat pieces over these vegetables and sprinkle with 1/3 of the rice and seasonings. Add another 1/3 of the sliced vegetables, the remaining meat, 1/3 of the seasonings and all the remaining rice. Top with remaining sliced vegetables and seasonings. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Remove cover, sprinkle with cheese and return to oven to melt.

less ingredient= better taste

if i want a typical steak, i just season them with salt and black pepper, with a olive oil so it wont stick.

you can squeeze a lemon when its done for a change.

i like to eat it with a salad and a little sprinkle of cheese (parmazan or mozzarella)

other times, after they're cooked i cut them into thin slices, toast the inside of your bread with a little vinegar+olive oil+garlic and toast it tell it's golden

then (i dont like mayo) spread fresh cream on one side, add your favorite vegys, i only like lettuce, add you meat, desired cheese. mmmm

i like to rub some lemon juice on the steak and grill it on the bbq or in a fry pan.
Then i make a simple taziki dip to have it with.

I usually serve with a baked spud with coleslaw and butter
