Why does Ramen have to have msg?!

Question: For flavor...

But a "healthier" (at least I think so) alternative is make regular pasta, then drain, then add a tiny bit of water, butter, and a boullion cube or two (I get the salt free ones) to the bottom of the pot you cooked your pasta in, heat and dissolve the butter and cubes, then put your pasta back in and toss. This way you can control how much salt you add to it and I think it tastes much better.

maybe its cheaper than regular salt.

Easy flavor enhancer.

Top Ramen has enough sodium in it for your entire weeks intake. If you have High Blood Pressure, avoid.

I think the msg is only in the flavor packet... so you can still leave it out. Just make the noodles and your own sauce.

so its delicious

THere's nothing wrong with MSG.

They are 7 for a dollar. That's why. MSG is cheaper. I use the noodles and make my own sauces for it, unless I'm in the mood to not taste anything else for the rest of the day. All that sodium kills your taste buds. It's horrible.
