Appetizer ideas anyone?!

Question: My husband and I are having some of my old high school friends over to watch a movie at my house on Saturday. These were good friends of mine that I haven't seen since graduation. I would like some ideas of what I could make for some good, tastey munchies.

mmm.. my favorite things are called pinwheels.
they are pieces of cornbeef lunch meat in a package that you can buy at just about any supermarket.
Also you need cream cheese.
you take the cream cheese and spread it with a knife on one piece of cornbeef and role it up. Then you cut in bite size pieces. its very very good :]

bloomin onion!!!

baby quiche

Why not put out a platter of cheeses and crackers. Add a couple different kinds of olives, pickles and maybe some pickled onion or garlic. It makes it easy for you. If you want to cook something...why not crescent rolls with spinach, garlic and parmesan rolled up inside? Just get the regular crescent rolls, take frozen spinach (thawed and drained) add minced garlic and parmesan. Mix it all together in a bowl and place a little on each roll before you roll it up. You could also make high rollers. Just take tortillas (spinach and red pepper ones are nice looking) and fill with flavored cream cheese, meats and cheeses. Cut into 1 or 2 inch slices and serve on a platter. Easy and yummy.

Snacks.
Deep fried Sausage Rings.
Deep Fried Chicken Nibbles.
Deep Fried Onion Rings.
Boiled Savaloy Rings.
Vol au Vants.

What movie? You could base your appetizer menu on the movie theme.
Some favorites of mine..do some light sandwich wraps., several veggie dips and a variety of veggies, cheese-get a variety of cheeses and try some you have never tried before. use crackers, crusty breads and fruits with the cheeeses.
Don't worry about it, they will be more interested in catching up than on what you are serving!

i think proscuitto(idk how to spell it) with melon is yummy, but maybe not what you want
how about some chicken wings?
quiche, like the other person said

mozzerella sticks (foodtv.com)
pigs in a blanket
veges and dip
mini sandwhiches

A plate of Townhouse crackers with a can of the finest chedder cheese spray. Perhaps even some Ritz crackers with peanut butter. Crackers with spaghetti sauce as a dip are pretty good too. Making little cracker sandwiches isn't a bad idea either. They are very easy and tasty.

Something my brother said about this that made me laugh:
Make sure none of your friends are lactose intolerant, or it is going to be awkward.

Ummm things like chicken fingers, salsa with chips, fish and other stuff for dip with crakers..... but check out this website lots of recipes to choose from!!! Good too! Food Network is another great appertizer site try that too! Hope it helps.

I take large red grapes, cut them in half, scoop out a bit of the center and fill them with a nice bleu cheese. These are absolutely scrumptious! I also make a nice baked brie covered with brown sugar and sliced almonds, baked for about 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
