What is the best way to dry fresh pasta?!

Question: We have started to make our own fresh pasta but are having trouble when it comes to making different shapes and cooking it. We want to be able to dry it out as we can then pick the shapes up to cook easier. How do we go about doing this?

200 degree oven for 4-8 hours, depending on the amount of pasta. Keep a small, open bowl of water in the oven to add a little humidity (it is necessary).

Do not use a cooler oven. Your pasta will not retain its firmness in that case.

Who thumbed me down? I study pasta for a living! Go look it up anywhere - see how pasta is dried. It's never dried at room temperature - unless you want sticky floppy pasta when cooked.

I hang mine on a "clothes line" that I hung outside for this very purpose.

eat it

get a pasta drying rack made of wood

Just hang it in a clothesline. Dont let it get wet, and dust them with some flour to prevent them from sticking with each other

Do you have a clothes horse? It's great for drying pasta.
