Anything but vegetables!!! They're kids for crying out loud. I agree with vanilla ice-cream.

take red or green pepper, remove the tops pour in some ranch dressing then fill with like carrots and celery ect.

Baked "Fried" VEGGIES
40 min | 20 min prep | SERVES 8

Ingredients
1 cup instant potato flakes
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled
2 egg
4-5 cups raw vegetable, cut in bite size pieces (mushrooms, broccoli, parboiled carrots, cauliflower, zucchini, parboiled sweet potato --whatever you)

Directions
1Combine potato flakes, cheese, celery salt, garlic powder and butter.
2In another bowl, beat eggs.
3Dip veggies, one at a time, in eggs and then in potato mixture.
4Coat well.
5Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
6Bake in 400 degree oven for 20- 25 minutes.
7Serve with ranch dip.

Since you can't serve vodka & venison I would say vanilla or vegetables are going to be your best bet. Maybe you can serve them in a fun kid friendly way. I remember when we watched, " how to eat fried worms", the teacher brought in the dirt cups with gummy worms in it.

Vanilla ice cram is good but there is also vanilla pudding and vanilla refridgerator cookies:

1 cup sugar
1 cup margerine or butter softened
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add remaining ingrediants and seperate into 3 equal parts.
Roll into 1 1/2 in thick logs. Wrap in seran wrap and refridgerate at least 4 hours.

Heat oven to 400 degrees, cut rolls into 1/8 in thick slices. Place 1 inch aprt on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 min remove from cookie sheet immediatly.

a mini tart buffet

bake a batch of mini tart shells. mix 3 or 4 bowls of different puddings...choc., vanilla, lemon
and mixed chopped up fruit...strawberries, bananas, pears etc.

let the kids make their own tarts!
