If you like to eat tuna.....have you tried the tuna sold in the little pouches?!

Question: I never really liked tuna. I thought it tasted like the can--but I tried the tuna in the pouch and thought it tastes great. Which do you prefer?

I like the pouch. No mess, less fishy, and you can pour other ingredients (mayo, relish, etc.) right into the pouch to make a tuna salad. Also good with wasabi mayo!

Did you know TUNA use to about 800lbs. when caught but, now adays they catch about 400lb. tuna. We rape the ocean so much they do not have time to mature. EAT SOY!!!!!!!!!! Peace Report It

  • Love them bot but I hate the messiness of the can and hate the cost of the pouch..LOL

I have tried the tuna in the pouches, I don't think there's any difference, except in the price. Tuna in a can when drained is the same thing exactly. I can't justify paying that price just so someone else can drain it for me. I buy the 6 packs of 3 oz. servings, or the larger cans, white tuna packed in water. It never tasted like the can.

The tuna in the pouch is pretty good, what is better is Kirkland Signature brand canned tuna from Costco. It's a little more than regular canned tuna, but cheaper than the pouches and the best I've ever had except for tuna steaks at the fish market.

Yes i have tried them in the little packages, and i dont really notice the difference, they are both good.

    i like the pouch kind
i make chese tuna snacks to here is the recipie
    1 pouch of tuna
    salt
    pepper
    mayo
    cheddar cheese
    crackers(ritz or watever u like)
mix everything except the crackers and then spread the tuna mixture onto the crackers and then place the crackrs and tuna in the oven and broil until they are warm
    this recipie is amazing!!

Can you justify paying the cost??
I can't.. that slip of plastic cost next to nothing,,, a hundred times cheeper than the cans ..
I accept the cost of re-tooling is high. but that is deductable.. and is passed on to us...
But it is also just a fad and it does not reduce your food cost..
Answer NO I have never tried the plastic pouches..
I am glad you have enjoyed your tuna..
