Have you ever created a recipe with your child, and you both love it, and still make it together?!

Question: Will you share it with me, please? I want to make some new dishes, that my 10 year old and I can make together, and enjoy. Only parents who cook with their children would know the best recipes I am thinking, so can you share yours and your child's dish with my son and I?

Here is our recipe we created together:

Waffapizz: (pronounced Wah-fa-peez)
Frozen Buttermilk waffles (used as a pizza crust)
One can of tomato sauce
grated cheese (we use cheddar, and/or mozzerela)
Sliced pepperoni (when we first created this dish, we didn't have pepperoni, so we made the tiniest hamburger patties, to be used as the meat)

Toast your waffles in a toaster, or in the oven at 325 degrees, until they are crispy, and golden brown

Spread your tomato sauce with a spoon on the waffles

Sprinkle your cheese on them

Add your super mini meat patties, or pepperoni

Bake in the oven at 325 degrees, or until the cheese is melted.

I add onions, mushrooms to mine, my son eats carrots only!

Thanks for sharing your Waffapizz recipe. It looks interesting and I am going to try it. :-)

no but my 3 year old loves making pancakes with me

My 11 year old and I make all different variations of salsa. She has been on a tortilla chips, salsa and guacamole "kick" for a long time now. Our favorite salsa:

Drain canned tomatoes (diced). Add red wine vinegar, salt, jalapeno pepper (sometimes we leave this out), olive oil (small amount), diced onion, cilantro and chipotle seasoning. Mix well. Chill. It is really good. Sometimes we add corn or black beans. We make our own variations. You can add lemon or lime juice. GOOD STUFF!

Little hands love to shape small meatballs . Sometimes we made meatball soup; sometimes meatballs in brown gravy, meatball subs, and spaghetti & meatballs.

My "little hands" grew into a lovely young lady who is now a dessert chef. The one thing we never made together was sweets!!
