When I cook tater tots according to the package, they are soft. I want crunchy. Any suggestions?!
Answers: Just put the oven on broil for the last couple minutes. Keep an eye on them. They will crunch up very nicely. Good Luck
cook them a bit longer.
Deep fry them
Crunch up aluminium foil and lay them on it, on the pan. That will help air circulate around them .... and turn them over 1/2way through cooking
You can cook them longer, or turn the temp. up by 25 degrees.
you leave them in the grease and let them cook longer. the longer they cook the crunchier they will be.
Deep fry them. Or if cooking in the oven.....just cook them alot longer than originally stated....oven variety take much longer to crisp. Also, cook them on the bottom rack.
i used to cook them like 2x as long as the directions, i hear ya
deep fry them
Thaw in the fridge before you cook them.
before baking, spray them with pam
Spray the pan and the tops of the tots and increase the temperature by 25 degrees but cook them for the same amount of time.
Deep fry them instead of baking them. It makes a huge difference. Also eat immediately, other wise they get soggy.
