OK first, my husband made this exact meatloaf about 2 weeks ago and made some changes. We didn't have any ginger so we used garlic, and then we didn't have a loaf pan so we just used a regular 9x13 pan. We also didn't put the brown sugar mixture on the bottom, we instead put it on top after most of the cooking time was through. It was a very good recipe and we would make this again. Also we found it a little bland so you might need to kick it up a bit(if you like it that way) Anyway happy eats. Fix with some homemade mashed potatoes and fresh veggies. Yummy!
it sounds good, but remember that in order for there to be a glaze, you'll have to invert the pan (recipe doesn't specify this part). Otherwise, you can mix the brown sugar and the ketchup together and spread them over the top of the loaf and the results will be the same.
Depends on what you like. I don't think it would be "bad", just not my cup of tea. However, I might leave the ketchup off something like that.
I have found an easy, no-frills meatloaf recipe the boyfriend and kids love:

or mini-meatloafs (perfect portion sizes):

sounds good but i wouldn't use brown sugar
My husband likes meatloaf with gravy & mashed potatoes.... I don't think he'd like a sweet sauce on it
Way too much brown sugar. It's gonna end up tasting like dessert. Omit it. The ketchup is sweet on its own.
kinda sounds like meatloaf...but idk bout the brown sugar...
