Which seasonings to use on steamed vegetables?!

Question: This weekend I will be steaming a pouch of vegetables on the grill for a cookout. I'm steaming yellow squash, broccoli, and carrots. Which seasonings should I use and how can I make sure the veggies cook through.

I do this often
make a pouch of foil add all my raw vegs, we also like turnips, onion, zuccini
dot with butter
salt and pepper
if you want additional seasoning try a little onion powder, garlic powder and celery salt.............
on a med. grill I usually cook 45 min. but not on direct fire
I fire one side of grill and cook pouch on other side with lid closed.

Make sure to cut the carrots to a smaller size than the squash and broccoli, as they are a more dense veggi. I would put a little butter in the pouch and lemon pepper seasoning.

I like garlic, lemon and parmesan cheese with olive oil. I put them in foil and stem them for about 5 minutes. You can open the foil and poke with a fork to see how cooked they are - depending on how you like them.

KISS it!. Keep it simple, stupid.

Salt, pepper, butter. can't go wrong. If you want a twist, squeeze a little fresh lemon on it when it's done. Or put a little fresh grated parmesan.

Check out the grinder spices made by McCormick. I like the lemon pepper but they also have garlic too. They would be tasty on veggies.

tarragon vinegar
lemon juice
fresh tarragon
salt
black pepper
butter

gotta use Mrs.dash seasoning blend.
it is great on veggies or meat.
melt a little butter, add seasoning put in a foil pouch on grill,
you will love it.

REAL butter and some sea or Kosher salt is all that you need. Anything else disguises the fresh, clean taste of the veggies....

mrs dash is perfect for that because it contains no salt

I use a little water to steam the vegetables and with the water I add a little bit of chicken granules (not the bouillon cubes) along with a little season salt and a little butter.
