Slicing up yellow squash for a BBQ tomorrow...can I do it tonight?!

Question: Or will the squash go bad before tomorrow. I plan on steaming it along with broccoli and carrots on the grill in a foil packet tomorrow.

I would wait to slice it right before you are going to steam it. Unless, you probably could cut it up and put it in a sealed tight plastic bag in the fridge.

I would wait to slice it, just do the cleaning today. It really won't take but a minute or 2 to slice it. You can cut up the broccoli and carrots today though, they'll hold well. Enjoy your birthday.

as long as you put it in a ziplock back and fill with water so no air can get to the veggies. If air gets to them, they will start to turn brown.

also, spritzing with lemon juice works to keep it from changing colors, but may effect the taste you're looking for.

I think it would be fresher if you sliced it tomorrow. It should only take about 2 minutes to cut it up.

If your pushed for time,I would make up the parcels add some fresh lemon juice, olive oil season maybe some fresh rosemary seal the parcel`s well and refridgerate.ready to go.
