Answers: NO!!! food manufacturers get every last second of shelf life out of a product as possible to ensure maximum profit.

I wouldn't.....

One way to find out

no, you would be better off going hungry than doing this. seafood can have some really nasty bugs that are also quick growing. dont risk it!

No, you're gonna die.

Only joking, yeah its fine.

give 'em the sniff test! Not a good idea to keep fishy friends around for long...

I wouldn't risk it as sea food that is off can be quite dangerous.

No. Seafood is the biggest cause of food poisoning.

How have they been stored? If they have been properly kept they (and you) should be fine.

I wouldn't risk it with sea food, it is notorious for food poisoning.

Offer them to the cat, if it turns it's nose up they are off. Don't try this with the dog because dogs will eat anything!

Not a good idea at all. 'Use by' means just that. If the wording had been 'Best Before', that would have been a different matter. Please don't eat them.

NO! never eat any form of seafood even a second past it's use by date. you can get samonella

if they had been frozen, I would say they are fine, but since they have been in the fridge, NO don't eat them. Seafood food poisoning is the worst

fine 5 days over then start to worry...........1 day fine

Sell by dates are for the Superstores to keep their backsides safe. Food is generally OK for a few days after its Use By Date if kept refrigerated.

Do as Silentnorev suggests, and give them a sniff. If they smell anything like ammonia, or if you're still concerned. BIN THEM! Ptomaine poisoning ain't nice.

definately not bin them straight away .....your gonna get a real bad dose of food poisoning.......fish/shell fish are the worse ever to give you upset tummy.....if you realy fancy them go buy fresh.
