Meatball makers: do you bake, pan fry or deep fry your meatballs?!

Question: I bake them til they are about half way done, then let them cool, bread them and deep fry them. Gives a nice texture contrast.

Bake at high temp. 425

i like tossing them in a pan with sauce until its brown and half way through then i put the meatballs and sauce in a slow cooker on medium for a couple of hours..

its the best way to make them and they come out perfect every time :)

I have baked my meatballs before but as of late I pan fry with just a touch of olive. There's just enough in the bottom of the pan to cover it.

I panfry....baking dries them out to much for my taste and deep frying is just too "much"

I bake them for 20 mins at 425 F. Frees me up to do other things and gives just as nice a result. I bake bacon at 400 F for 20 minutes. Comes out like I fried it w/o having to hover over a frying pan. However, meatballs taste great pan fried or baked. Add to sauce when done and let simmer for 10 mins.

Pan fry...add sauce and perfecto!

brown them in a pan on the stove so you seal the juices in and then put them in the oven and back at 350.

I usually bake them for standard spaghetti and meatballs, but I pan fry them sometimes if I am using them differently. Pan frying gives them a nice crispy crust.

I bake them. I am still not an experienced cook so I feel like when I pan fry them I never know when they are done, when I bake them I feel like I know they will be cooked all the way through. And deep frying (while very good) is too fatty for me considering meatballs aren't exactly healthy to begin with.

I always baked mine.......My husband made them one night and they was the best i have ever eaten. He boiled them. I have never heard of this but I seen him do it. It is so much easier and they are really good. Try for yourself

pan fry it's the only good way to make them, might not be as healthy as baked, but so much better taste fried and that is how I have made them for 40 years and will continue to do it, takes much more work as you have to stand there and turn them, but the taste is great and worth it.

Pan Fry!!
That's the way to go. I always double my recipe & freeze the 2nd batch for later. (with homemade spag sauce)
