Here's a rich BBQ SHRIMP recipe

"Lg. shrimp, deveined & shelled
Equal amt. of partially cooked bacon strips
Mozzarella cheese, sliced
Toothpicks

Cut shrimp down back, stuff with tiny slice of Mozzarella. Wrap bacon around stuffed shrimp. Secure with toothpicks. Place on skewers (wooden bamboo skewers need to be soaked in water for at least 1 hour before putting shrimp on). Brush on favorite BBQ sauce and barbecue for approximately 3 to 5 minutes on each side until done, adding barbecue sauce when needed. Serve over rice or alone."

This is not exactly BBQ but this is what we call BBQ shrimp where I am from. Use a couple cups of butter, lots of worcestershire, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, and any of you other favorite spices. Leave the shells on the shrimp, place them in a baking dish. Pour melted butter and the other ingredients over the shrimp, make sure they are covered at least half way up. Season again and bake at 375 for 10-15 mins. Have bread on the side to dip in the butter sauce. It is so goooood, I promise. BBQ shrimp, New Orleans, Louisiana. Whether it's on the grill or in the oven it's cooking. You could use an disposable pan on the grill.

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, stir together the garlic, olive oil, tomato sauce, and red wine vinegar. Season with basil, salt, and cayenne pepper. Add shrimp to the bowl, and stir until evenly coated. Cover, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour, stirring once or twice.
Preheat grill for medium heat. Thread shrimp onto skewers, (if using wooden soak for 30 mins in water) piercing once near the tail and once near the head. Discard marinade.
Lightly oil grill . Cook shrimp on preheated grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until opaque.

Hi! Shrimp is my fav seafood too!
First of all if you want to keep it plain and simple, put shrimp on skewers and you can just brush them with butter, add some garlic seasoning if you like.
The best shrimp on the "barbie" is to mix some olive oil and some balsamic vinegar (about half and half) and add some italian herbs, to your taste. Either marinade the shrimp in this mix, or brush them as you are grilling. This recipe will work with either raw or cooked shrimp.
Hope you find a recipe you like! Shrimp are the Best on the Barbie!
