Any good ideas for ramen noodles?!
Answers: Besides cooking them...what else can you do to spice them up or make a meal??? Thank You
I cook them in water without the flavor packet, which has too much salt. Don't overcook them. Sear a piece of salmon in peanut oil (not olive oil which burns) with shallots and garlic. Set the salmon aside and dump the noodles into the pan with a touch of soy sauce and toss them for a minute or so they soak up the flavors. Then put them on a plate and serve the salmon on top. Yummmm.
Put them in the trash...I dunno what people see in that lousy "chinese" invention that has excess of salt, chemicals and is devoid of any food value...unless you take the time to add veggies or meat to it.
ramen in america is... not very tasty >.>
but what i do is add an egg half way through the cooking process and then put in vegetables also. then i might put in fish cakes in their to add flavor.
You can truly buy better instant pasta and rice that isn't that much more expensive now. You would also be better off to buy some hearty soup and a good loaf of bread for not that much more.
Break them up and add them to a soup.
Use them instead of pasta.
I buy our equivalent of plain "2 Minute noodles" to make a quick an easy pasta, to go into a chow mien.
This is a prison recipe but it's actually really good (I am a really picky eater!)
Ingredients:
1-2 pkg Ramen Noodles (beef, chicken, or oriental)
1 can Hormel (or any other brand) canned chili with beans
Barbeque sauce to taste (it's a must)
Honey, if you have it
Doritoes
1. Cook and drain the Ramen Noodles. Add back to pan. Stir in the seasoning packet(s). Cook over medium heat.
2. Add the can of chili. Continue cooking.
3. Add the barbeque sauce and honey. For me, it usually takes 3-5 big squirts of barbeque sauce and 1 big squirt of honey for it to taste right.
4. Add some crushed doritoes and enjoy!
make the noodles, drain all the water and butter (or margarine) and parmesan cheese mix and enjoy..(if ya want a little spice add a couple drops of worcestershire sauce or A1)
i fry or boil smokes sauges and onions then boil the noodles and packet
add all together and add some cheese
You can use them to make a meat-veggie-noodle skillet dish. Do NOT use the flavor packet but season with Greek seasoning. YUMMY!!!
I like to first put some mashed fresh garlic and ginger in the water that I boil the noodles in and add carrots, nappa cabbage, and dried tofu (or soft). I'll also add chinese black vinegar and chili spice to mine.
dice some greenbell peppers and onions, boil until tender
then add ramen, cook til tender drain, leaving a little water
add margarine, five-spice, garlic powder and cajun seasoning along with its own seasoning packet.stir and enjoy.
I like to add a little red pepper flakes for heat.o-o-o-o
dont put the seasoning in it. instead put velveeta and hard boiled eggs in it...
Buy something else on the same aisle. That does not count as food in my world.
