Question: How do you make potato salad !?!!?
i have my potatoes sliced, my mayo ready, green onions, and onions
but its just plain nasty

Boil them and add them to your potato salad, how about Celery, Sweet Relish, Red/Green Peppers, Sour Cream, Salt, White Pepper, Celery Seed, Mustard Seed, Dill, Green Peas, Diced Carrots!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I would give you my recipe but that would be ironic seeing as you don't have my favorite 3 in your house, sorry!. Best Ever Potato Salad

My mom's potato salad was pretty darn good; when I ran across this one, called "Best Ever Potato Salad," I was skeptical!. You might be, also!.!.!.but be skeptical no longer!. This is a potato salad that even I can get rave reviews from (and have)!. It's become a hit at company picnics!. The secret!? Bacon!. Try it yourself:

10 slices Oscar Mayer bacon
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups cooked and diced potatoes
4 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 medium green pepper, chopped

Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces!. Cook in skillet on medium-low heat until crisp!.
Drain bacon, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings in skillet!. Remove skillet from heat!.
Add mayonnaise, mustard, sugar and salt; mix well!.
Combine potatoes, eggs, celery, onion and green pepper in bowl!.
Add dressing and toss!. Stir in bacon!. Cover!. Chill several hours before serving!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Uh, oh! But don't fret! See the recipe below!. It is great! However, don't fret if you don't have everything on the list!. It will be fine, just different!

Best Potato Salad

7 medium red potatoes-2 lbs (cooked, peeled-if you must, cooled & coarsely shopped)-approx 7 cups
3 hard-cooked eggs, cooled & chopped
? cup finely chopped sweet pickle
2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
? cup mayonnaise
? cup sweet pickle juice
1 teaspoon celery seed
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
Salt & pepper

In a large bowl, combine potatoes, eggs, sweet pickles & pimiento!. Stir together mayonnaise, pickle juice, celery seed, garlic salt & 1 teaspoon salt, plus 1/8 teaspoon pepper!. Gently fold the mayonnaise mixture into the potato mixture!. Cover & chill thoroughly!. Garnish with additional hard-cooked egg slices, if desired!. Makes about 10 servings!.

Any fresh crunchy veggies!. Tomato for color!. Pepper and I don't like salt!. Seasonings of most any kind!. Herbs-Italian is my preference!. Onion soup mix!. Pickles and they are canned in vinegar!. Same for relish or if you like hot foods and have a jar of jalapenos!. They are both canned in vinegar!. I don't like mustard and never use it!. Bacon is mostly used for the salty color, ergo the tomatoes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The way I make my Potato and everyone loves it!!!
1st I put Mayo and it has to be Best food mayo only, then I chop up 1 yellow onions, celery, black olives and eggs black pepper, salt and a Lil bit of mustard
The secret is to do it in layer that way the potato's won't get smashed!. So one layer potato's , a spoon of mayo, sprinkle onions, olives egg, salt and pepper, then repeat !. Then mix lightly!. Yummy Make sure you serve it chilledWww@FoodAQ@Com

I enjoy simple potato salad!.
You need red blish potatoes, rinse & scrub, DO NOT PEEL!. Cover with water & cook till fork tender!. Boil 2 eggs, while potatoes are cooking!.
In a large bowl, mix chopped purple onion, pickle relish & celery!. Cross cut the boiled eggs once, turn 90 degrees and cut again!. But in with other ingredients!. A squirt of mustard!.
When potatoes are done, drain and pour into bowl, add enough mayo to hold together!. Add salt if you must, added ground pepper!. Sprinkle with paprika!. Serve warm!. YummmmmWww@FoodAQ@Com

Amish Potato Salad

Ingredients
Amount Ingredient Preparation
6 medium potatoes
1 small onion chopped
1 cup celery
1 teaspoon celery seeds
1 teaspoon salt
4 large eggs hard cooked, diced
2 large eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 x salt to taste
1/2 cup cider vinegar or less to taste
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
1/2 cup evaporated milk
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup mayonnaise

Directions
Cook potatoes in their jackets until soft!. Cool, peel, and dice!. Mix
potatoes gently with the next 5 ingredients; then add to the dressing!.

DRESSING:

Mix Eggs with sugar, cornstarch and salt!. Add vinegar, cream and mustard!.

Cook until thickened!.

Remove from heat and beat in butter!. Add mayonnaise and mix until smooth

Add potato mixture to the cooled dressing, folding gently together!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

my best recipe is diced potato, boiled well and dried out on a pan!. Then drizzle over white balsamic vinegar ( i know u dont have any- maybe try lemon juice) and one jar of miracle whip, and one jar of plain egg mayo, diced red onion, and a can of peas and corn!. Salt and pepper, a lot of salt, it needs just the right amount!. It always tastes awesome!Www@FoodAQ@Com
