How to make pakoras in the oven ?!
Anyone tried making pakoras in the oven !? if yes, please let me know the temperature and any other instructions !. I made onion rings in the oven and they came out great so was wondering if I could make pakoras too!. Frying them in oil uses too much oil and a lot of time!.

Yes you can!. The trick is to make a thicker batter, just reduce the amount of liquid!.
Make them as you normally would and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown - about 20-25 minutes depending on your oven!.
I have made them using a muffin pan!. The only problem you will face is the fact that the metod of cooking is different!. With frying you drop something in a hot liquid and all sides start to brown at once and firm up!. When you bake something like this the process is slower so things tend to settle!.
Does that make sense!?
You could also look for a shake and bake type of method for chicken and shrimp that would apply to these!.
Hope this helps!. Kent "The Deck Chef" WhitakerWww@FoodAQ@Com
