If you freeze large batches of sauteed onions, will they still be usable?!

Question: If you freeze large batches of sauteed onions, will they still be usable!?
If I could freeze quart-sized plastic bags of sauteed onions, it would save me a lot of time when I cook every week!. Is it possible to practically do this!? Do you have any tips for me to successfully accomplish this!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You are actually better off slicing and freezing as they are!. The freezer is hard on onions because of their high moisture content!. They cook very quickly after being frozen and the natural sugars are more concentrated!. I often slice peppers and onions, the easiest veggies to freeze because there is no need to blanch, and put them into quart size bags to keep with sausage links for sausage, peppers and onions in a flash!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes they will still be useable; just sautee them like you normally do and put them in a plastic bag/ container!. then just stick them in the freezer!. it saves loads of time for you and they still taste just as fresh!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
