A co-worker and I are in competition for a managers position at the golf course we work at!. We've convinced the boss to purchase a pizza oven and now we have to come up with the "BEST" pizza sauce to justify his purchase!. Share your best recipe with me PLEASE!Www@FoodAQ@Com

This recipe was given to me as a present,!. It is thick, saucy, spicy, and delicious!. I'll never use anything else on my homemade pizzas!. I like to double or triple it and but it in ziploc bags in my freezer!.

Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup celery, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 small bay leaf
1 teaspoon fennel seed
Directions
1In a large skillet, melt butter with the oil!. Add the onion, celery and garlic and saute until soft and transparent!.
2Add tomato sauce and tomato paste and stir until smooth!.
3Add remaining ingredients and bring to slow simmer!.
4Simmer for 30-60 minutes (or not at all depending on your taste and time frame)!.
5Remove the bay leaf and spread the sauce on your prepared pizza dough!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I just puree equal parts sundried tomato paste and tomato paste with a bit of added pepper and lots of basil!. I made the sundried tomato paste by rehydrating sundried tomatoes in a pot of water and adding lots of garlic and dried basil and some chilli, and pureeing with olive oil!.

Awesome Pepperoni Pizza Cheese Recipe

Ready in: < 30 minutes
Difficulty: 3 (1=easiest :: hardest=5)
Serves/Makes: 12

Ingredients:
2 packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried red pepper
1 cup pizza sauce
1 cup chopped pepperoni
1/2 cup green onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:
Combine with fork in medium pot cream cheese, sour cream, oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper!. Spread evenly on a pie plate!. Spread pizza sauce over the top!. Sprinkle pepperoni, green onion, and green pepper evenly over sauce!. Top with mozzarella cheese!. Bake in Dutch oven or cardboard oven at 350 for 10 minutes!. An unusual recipe, but very good!. It's like Papa Murphy's Garlic Chicken Pizza!.



* Sauce
* 1 Cup of Ranch dressing
* 1 Tablespoon of minced garlic (garlic in a jar is perfectly fine)
* Toppings and Crust
* 1 Cup of cooked, diced chicken
* 1/2 of a red onion (cut in rings)
* 1/2 of a tomato (chopped)
* 1/2 a cup of sliced mushrooms
* 1 cup of mozzarella cheese (shredded)
* 1 pizza crust (store bought or homemade)


Directions

1!. Mix the ranch and garlic together and put on the crust
2!. Top with chicken, onion, tomato, mushrooms, and cheese
3!. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until crust is done and cheese is melted

The one above that says Pepperoni Pizza!.That makes and awesome appetizer!.Make it in a single serving in an oval restaurant dish!.Layer the ingredients and place in the salamander!.Serve at the bar or table with ritz crackers or breadstixs!.I called it Pepperoni Pie/appetizer!.
I did a search in my recipe file and will add it later for you on my chix!.pizza in garlic sauce!.!.!.it's just alfredo sauce with white cheese added!.

Here is a little info also if you haven't thought of it already and you will be one up on the other person!!!
You can make Calzones,Stromboli and bread stix's!.
You can also bake your pizza crust,cut it and use for Panini sandwiches!.
You can bake focaccia rolls and use for muffelatta sandwiches!.
I'm still working on a good red sauce!.!.!.!.if I could email you I could share more!.!.!.anyway!.!.!.I like to make a white chicken pizza or a bbq chix pizza also!.
For my BBQ pizza I use about half pizza sauce and half or less of bbq sauce if I use a red sauce for the chix!.pizza!.

Chicken and Spinach Panini

Pizza dough is topped with seasonings, baked, then grilled with a savory
spinach and chicken filling in this delicious hot sandwich recipe!.

10 oz!. can refrigerated pizza crust dough
2 Tbsp!. olive oil
1/2 tsp!. dried thyme leaves
1/2 tsp!. dried marjoram leaves
9 oz!. pkg!. frozen spinach, thawed and well drained
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 tsp!. garlic powder
1 Tbsp!. olive oil
1 cup chopped red onion
1 Tbsp!. sugar
1 Tbsp!. apple cider vinegar
3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 tsp!. dried thyme leaves
1/2 tsp!. salt
4 slices Havarti cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees!. Unroll pizza dough and place in an ungreased
15x10x1-inch jelly roll pan!. Press down on dough until it reaches edges of
pan!. Push with your fingers to form dimples!. Brush with 2 Tbsp!. olive oil
and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp!. dried thyme leaves and marjoram leaves!. Bake at
375 degrees F for 10 minutes until light brown and set!. Cool completely!.

In small bowl, combine well drained spinach, mayonnaise and garlic powder,
mix well, and refrigerate!.

In small saucepan, heat 1 Tbsp!. olive oil over medium heat!. Add onion and
cook and stir for 2 to 3 minutes until crisp tender!. Add sugar and vinegar,
then reduce heat to low!. Simmer this mixture for 3 to 5 minutes or until
most of liquid is absorbed, stirring often!.

Flatten each chicken breast half by placing between two pieces of waxed
paper!. Gently pound chicken with a rolling pin or meat mallet until about
1/4 inch thick!. Remove paper and sprinkle chicken with thyme and salt!.

Spray large skillet with nonstick cooking spray!. Heat over medium high heat,
then add chicken!. Cook chicken for 8 minutes, turning once, or until chicken
is browned and thoroughly cooked and juices run clear!. Let chicken stand for
5 minutes, then cut into slices!.

Cut cooled pizza crust into 4 rectangles!. Remove rectangles from pan and
spread the unseasoned side of each with 2 tablespoons mayonnaise mixture!.
Top 2 rectangles, seasoned side down, with sliced chicken, onion mixture,
cheese and remaining crust rectangles, seasoned side up, to make sandwiches!.

Heat large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat!. Place sandwiches in
skillet!. Place smaller skillet on top of sandwiches to flatten them as they
cook!. Cook 4 to 6 minutes or until crisp, thoroughly heated and browned,
turning once halfway through cooking time!. Cut each sandwich in half to
serve!. Or cook sandwiches, two at a time, on panini or dual-contact grill,
about 2-4 minutes or until bread is crisp and cheese is melted!. 4 servings

Herbed Pizza Sauce
A savory blend of tomatoes, garlic, basil, oregano, and fennel, if you like, is used in this thick and hearty pizza sauce!.

3/4 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil, margarine, or butter
114-1/2-ounce can tomatoes, cut up
1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon snipped fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil crushed
1 tablespoon snipped fresh oregano or 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
1 teaspoon fennel seed, crushed (optional)
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Cook onion and garlic in oil!. Stir in remaining ingredients!. Bring to boiling!. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 35 to 40 minutes or to desired consistency, stirring occasionally!. Discard bay leaf!. Makes 1-3/4 cups (enough for 2 pizzas or 6 servings)!. Hot and Spicy Pizza Sauce: Prepare as above except reduce the chopped onion to 1/2 cup and add 1/2 cup chopped green pepper with onion!. Omit bay leaf; add 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper and 1/8 teaspoon chili powder with the remaining ingredients!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
