lol!.!.!.pillows!? maybe you added too much cream of tartar!? it has a funny, cardboard taste!.!.!.but is necessary for the acidity in this recipe!.

well!.!.!.anyhow!.!.!.best recipe i know is homemade!.!.!.dont ever use a box or premade mix for snickerdoodles!. god, i tried that out of laziness once!.!.!.what a joke!.

recipe: they will melt in your mouth if you bake em for only 8 mins!.

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C)!.
Cream together butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, the eggs and the vanilla!. Blend in the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt!. Shape dough by rounded spoonfuls into balls!.
Mix the 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon!. Roll balls of dough in mixture!. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets!.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until set but not too hard!. Remove immediately from baking sheets!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Things You’ll Need:

? 4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
? 2 cups plus 1/2 cup sugars
? 1/2 tsp!. baking soda
? 1 tbsp!. vanilla extract

? 1 cup sour cream
? 1 tsp!. salt
? 1 cup unsalted butters
? 1 tbsp!. cinnamon
? 3 eggs
Step 1:
Mix cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar; taste to make sure the cinnamon is not too strong and add more sugar to taste!. Reserve!.
Step 2:
Combine the remaining 2 cups sugar, vanilla, salt and butter in a bowl and beat until light and fluffy with an electric mixer!. Add the eggs one at a time, waiting until the previous egg has been incorporated!.
Step 4:
Beat in sour cream!.
Step 5:
Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together and beat into the butter until they are just incorporated!.
Step 6:
Mix in the walnuts!.
Step 7:
Roll, press or scoop the batter into balls the size of golf balls or large marbles; size isn't too important, just make sure they're all the same size!.
Step 8:
Place on cookie sheets spaced well apart!.
Step 9:
Generously butter the flat bottom of a glass or other flat-bottomed object like a measuring cup or small pan!.
Step 10:
Press the buttered surface into the cinnamon sugar, then use it to flatten each cookie ball!. A layer of cinnamon sugar should stick to the cookie!. If not, sprinkle some on!. Repeat with all cookies!.
Step 11:
Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until cookies are puffed and golden and their bases lightly browned!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Coating

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1Mix the cinnamon with the sugar in a bowl and set aside!.
2Mix the margarine, sugar and eggs!.
3Add the dry ingredients and form small balls!.
4Roll the balls in the cinnamon/sugar mixture!.
5Place on a cookie sheet 5 centimeters apart (they spread as they bake)!.
6Bake for 8-10 minutes at 190 degrees Celsius (375 F)!.

i don't know what recipe you use!.!.!.but Snickerdoodles are supposed to be kinda chewy---so you take them out of the oven when they are pleasantly brown!.!.!.leave them on the cookie sheet for a few minutes!.!.then put them wherever you cool your cookies!.!.okay!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
