Off course it always depends on the recipe - but cake recipes that contain eggs - don't necessarily use B!.P - unless you have any Self raising flour which is basically plain flour with B!.P added!. But make sure you whisk the eggs up - this will help with the rising!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Itd go flat like a pancake unlss u fold in the mixtureWww@FoodAQ@Com

it would end up as a biscuit!Www@FoodAQ@Com

SR flour fine, but not just plain flour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Should be OK if you use self raising flour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It wouldnt rise!.

(yes im a genius at cooking as well)Www@FoodAQ@Com

what them above saidWww@FoodAQ@Com

Instead of fluffy it would be more thicker!.!.!.!.some flour is all purpose and has baking powder already mixed into it!. Check the labels!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You'd have to make it like a flourless chocolate cake - separate the egg white and then beat it till it forms stiff peaks, then mix it in and bake!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you make a pound cake, it won't matter!. It gets it's leavening from beating the butter and sugar, incorporating air that lightens the overall cake!.

Whipping Cream Pound Cake

Preheat oven 300oF!. Grease and flour tube pan!.

2 sticks butter, softened
1 stick margarine, softened
3 cups sugar
3? cups cake flour
1 cup whipping cream
5 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Cream butter and margarine!. Add sugar and cream until light yellow!. Add eggs one at a time barely beating to blend!. Alternately add cream and flour!. Add Vanilla!.

Pour into a greased and floured tube pan!. Bake 300oF for 1? hours!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you are using 'self raising flour' it will be okay!.

You might also want to introduce as much air to the mixture as possible - this means hand beating using a whisk!. !. !. !.rather you than me!. !. !. phew!Www@FoodAQ@Com

use self raising four well beaten eggs a lot of butter!. you would hardly notice the differenceWww@FoodAQ@Com

Your cake wouldn't rise and it wouldn't be FluffyWww@FoodAQ@Com

Self raising flour doesn't need baking powder as it already has a rising agent in it!. If u use plain flour and no baking powder the cake will remain flat and not rise so it will be heavy in texture and not light and spongy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I never use baking powder as long as the flour is self raising you don`t need itWww@FoodAQ@Com

it wouldn't riseeWww@FoodAQ@Com
