Answers:
The noodles and the chunks of mystery veggies are dried so everything shrinks!. When you add the hot water, the noodles and mystery chunks absorb the water and puff up!.!.!. like a sponge!.

In fact a sponge is a good analogy!.!.!.!. have you ever noticed how a dry sponge is small!.!.!. as soon as you wet a sponge the sponge swells up!. That's because the cells inside of the sponge absorb and hold the water!.!.!. similar to those noodles inside the cup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This happenes because they have to take all the water and moisture out of the noodles to keep them in the package!.

So when they stay in liquid for a while they absorb alot of it because all the moisture was taken out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ya thats how it works just like regular pasta!.!.!. but DONT EAT THE CUP OF NOODLES ANYMORE!!

they have MSG and its sooooooo bad for you!. trust me get some real pasta and dont eat that anymore!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The water is absorbed by the pasta, it is rehydrated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
