I love doing the pinwheel wrap ups too!. I take a large flour tortilla (large burrito size) warm it for about 20 seconds in the microwave to make it pliable, then add cream cheese (i like the veggie flavored type) turkey or ham, lettuce, tomato, roasted red peppers, or anything else you like, the roll up and secure with a toothpick!. Wrap in saran wrap, then refrigerate for an hour or so!. Right before serving, cut into little pinwheels!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Instead of shells, use flour tortillas!. Spread each with garlic and chive cream cheese!. Top with turkey, jack cheese, lettuce, chopped tomato and roll up!. Secure with toothpicks or wrap until serving!. Cut into thirds!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Easiest thing that comes to mind are pinwheels!. They can be made with anything that you love, but the most common is your favorite lunch meat - like turkey, salsa, cream cheese, shredded cheddar and green onions rolled jelly roll style in tortillas and refrigerated for a couple hours and then sliced!. Personally, I love roast beef with guacamole, pepperjack cheese, and olives rolled into a pinwheel!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I would make some 'options' because kids like so many different things!! also, keep it fairly simple!. My recommendations:
Pizza roll ups:
Jack cheese slices
pepperoni
Spread with tomato sauce
Peanut butter and jelly roll ups
Ham and cheese
For sides, Faves of my nephews:
Pretzels n cream cheese
mini carrots
Goldfish cheeses crackers
Sliced apples
Mini choc chip cookies!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like to make wraps!. I generally mix together cream cheese and a little cranberry sauce (either the whole cranberry or the jelly kind - up to you)!. Then I spread it thinly on the flour tortilla!. I then top it with a layer of mashed avocado and top that with turkey lunch meat, a thin layer of tomato, a layer of lettuce, then a thin layer of shredded cheese!. Start rolling that puppy up, cut it in the middle on the diagonal and wrap in saran to hold it together until ready to serve!.
Just in case you have some vegetarians in the group, you might make some with alfalfa sprouts, soy cheese, avocado, mustard (honey mustard would be good) and eggplant that you've cut lengthwise and cooked on a sprayed cookie sheet at 400o until tender!. Cool the eggplant before putting it in the sandwiches!. Some black beans would be good in there too!.
You could serve it with chips or cut up fruit or a veggie tray with some Ranch dip!.
Hope that helps!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
